i was sooooooooooooo sick yesterday. the stomach thing is gong around, but i am finally better:)
G left today for ecuador and we are snowed in, so i hope to be scrapping, since he took the camera.
back to my page a day and hopefully will be getting all my pics done.

i managed to get ALL my pics from out last sightseeing trip on this page! YAY for digital!
ok...so it seems that i am piling up the pages even FASTER now than i am doing digital then before:) Just thinking of the sheer amount of pages i am getting done makes me happy BUT then the question of where to store them starts creeping up. Luckily the pages are thinner so i am able to make more fit, but now the problem is affording to print and then store them.
i will be limiting myself to one page a day. and trying to enjoy myself. i can do it, because i can do ANYTHING!
ok....so this is a very subjective list. not everyone likes the same stuff, but i think that these sites have the best freebies. i am pulled towards more of the high quality, urban type papers. be prepared to search a little and know your STYLE:) it is so easy to go overboard and get all the freebies you can find.
purge every month or so. if you haven't used it yet, you can always find it again...plus it's free so no biggie right?
try and acknowledge the designers whenever you can. i try to...but i can't always succeed. but TRY!
use those templates at least four times. you can rotate, flip and mirror the images. don't think you have to KEEP them. i delete...so can YOU!
now that i have changed the way i scrapbook: changing to 8x8, going digital etc, i am changing my outlook on a LOT of things as well.
miss Stacy Julian gets IT.
i have spent the last 10 years getting things perfect, or trying to at least. Hitting the big 4-0 was a BIG wake-up call.
so in nov. last year i decided to try something new. i shook things up. i am learning and changing and growing:) it has been a journey to step out of my box and do something i never though i would. it has been good:)
so i am going back to the roots and rediscovering the wonder of miss SJ:) yup. THANK YOU!
i am busy just creating and finding my way thru digital.
this page is a very simple photoblock style template from the helping haiti kit from designer digitals.
i also used the newsletter freebie from three paper peonies and a title from taylormade plus some photo corners from DD also..
being digital has married both my wish to tell stories and my passion for using all my pictures.
it's a good thing and a great place to be right now.
i am going to keep scrapping and hope that i get a lightbulb moment:) still not sure on how i will be storing my 8x8's, but i am thinking. i want to make sure that i keep up with the page a day. the rest will come....i am sure:)
all materials from taylormade (freebie)
i LOVE these papers:) and i only had one good picture. not a big fan of one photo pages...
these pictures came off 4 yucky old CM pages. i scanned them in, fixed them up and used them in a digital page. the old pictures are getting filed in acid free sleeves and stored in a nice dark dry closet.

"I believe that if, at the end of it all, according to our abilities, we have done something to make others a little happier, and something to make ourselves a little happier, that is about the best we can do. To make others less happy is a crime. To make ourselves unhappy is where all crime starts. We must try to contribute joy to the world. That is true no matter what our problems, our health, our circumstances. We must try. I didn't always know this, and am happy I lived long enough to find it out."
Roger Ebert excerpt from esquire magazine.
i couldn't have said it better:) and i also usually agree with him on movies too:)
I scrapped paper today. made a bunch of pages with no embellishing and put them into the pool album. will go back and add stuff later. it was fun to see the pile of prints go down:) i am still figuring out what i want to do and where to go with my scrapping. we'll see where the journey takes me!
using up the stash and budget scrapping is where it is at!
i have a stash of digital freebie kits i have accumulated. the hoarder in me wants to keep them forever, but my HD is getting full. SO.
my goal is to use my freebie kits at least on two pages and then it goes BUH-BYE:)
let's see what comes of it:))))
this is the only room in the house with dark floors because zoe wanted them that way:) she has a comfortable couch and a loft bed. we will be replacing the chest of drawers with a desk and getting new curtains, couch slipcover and bedding, plus a new coat of paint and a new door. she already has a pink and green "teen" type theme picked out:)
