i found this freebie template.
the clean graphic design is AWESOME.
this is what it looked like after i plugged in my photos

i added pattern papers and elements from three paper peonies.
i also enlarged the whole block a little bit and moved it to fit the oversized brush title from karla dudley.
fast, easy and simple.

my life, my story.

i am all for simplifying and minimizing the scrap these days.
in addition to my project life, i am preparing some pages in this style.
very simple, photo-based pages to tell the stories of our days.
i like doing the more elaborate pages...but time is an issue and so is storage.
it is all good:)

Monthly Project Life.

i divided up my page protectors into 2 albums.

the first is the binder that was included in the kit. i am using that one for my childhood pictures and am getting it done a little at a time.

then, i purchased another ac cloth binder, 2 refills of 12x12 and 4x6 divided protectors.

i divided them up into 12 and now i have a monthly project life:)

we haven't taken many pictures in january between being sick and the weather, so this is perfect for a few pictures, some journaling and other little thingies that might pop up.

my scrapbooking is always evolving and taking different forms, so this is where i am right now.

it is working and it is all good:)

because i can:)

have paper, will scrap old prints.

right now i am trying to get some old pictures done and i am doing them in whatever way i want.

some of them are getting scanned and made into digi pages and others are getting the traditional treatment, and some are going into photo albums and it is all good!

lots of soul-searching these days while i have been sick. i guess i have not been able to keep myself busy to not think.

scanning old pictures and trying to make them look a little better will bring up lots of memories.

good and bad and so-so.

embracing my story and putting it on paper is cathartic and therapeutic and heartbreaking and sad all at once.

and it is all good.

i am in the middle of scrapbooking my old pictures and it is really becoming a labor of love.

the pictures suck and i can't remember ANYTHING, so i am having to dig REALLY deep to find any good memories. sigh.
